a.c.d. = audio collection device
The A.C.D. is a wearable sampler. It allows the user to sample sounds as they encounter them. All the user has to do is hit the record button and the microphone on the front strap will pick up the sound. It saves the sound file as a wav or mp3 directly on the flash drive or memory card. It also has an external microphone jack if needed. The user can connect headphones and play back the sound to pick out which sounds to keep and which sounds to trash.
After the sounds are recorded the user connects the device directly to their pc for drag and drop accessibility. The computer recognizes the A.C.D. is an external hard drive and you can just drag the files onto your desktop. Once there the user is free to do whatever they want with them.
The A.C.D. is a discreet and fashionable piece of hard ware that can help an electronic musician build a sample library quickly and efficiently. The ease of use and immediacy of the A.C.D. will prove to be an irreplaceable tool for any electronic musician.
